Over the last few years, I've had a number of chances to visit the Justice Center in downtown Columbus, Ohio. It houses courtrooms, jail cells and the like. Almost directly across the street is a sign for a place called Chuck Brown Bail Bonds. A number of friends have seen it and taken to ribbing me about it from time to time.
Fast forward to the early summer of 2006. First, in late May, I received a phone call at my home asking if I was "the bail bonds guy" ("no...").
About a week later, I was driving west on Fifth Ave at Leonard, when this billboard jumped out at me (figuratively speaking).
