About Chuck

Greetings! I’m Chuck Brown, and thanks for clicking over from my Twitter profile to learn more about me. 🙂

To begin with, I live in the Central Ohio area. In addition to the same stuff we all do as people, I have a few different interests that might be of interest to some:

Voiceover: Since the early 1980s, I have worked for companies on local, regional, national and international levels as a professional male voice talent. This includes everything from broadcast commercials to on-hold messages, and from corporate marketing pieces to eLearning projects for both commercial interests and education. This is how I make the bulk of my living, and the thing that gets most of my time and attention. If you’d like to find out more and listen to some of my voiceover demos, visit ChuckBrownVoiceOver.com

Music: I’ve been writing songs since the age of 13, when I wrote an instrumental piece to complete the requirements for a Boy Scout merit badge. Since then, I’ve written 2-300 others…across genres as diverse as children’s music, solo piano, love songs and Christian pop/rock. Writing music is one of the great delights of my life, and while I’ve had the pleasure of having a few indie artists cover some of my material, I’ve had to record a bunch of it myself just to give it a chance to be heard. I have 3 piano albums, a love song album, a Christian pop/rock album, an album with a bit more of a prayer/praise/worship feel, and an album of my original songs for kids. I have another kids’ album in the can, and hope to unleash it on an unsuspecting world as finances permit. If you’d like to find out more about my songwriting and albums, visit ChuckBrownMusic.com

Web Sites: I’ve built a ton of web sites going back to the 1990s, but most of them have been abandoned to the dust heap of history. And yet, I still have a few that people seem to really appreciate, and that make up a minor portion of my income. From FreeKidsMusic.com, which offers free MP3 downloads of kids music from many artists to The Free Music Group, which does the same with other styles of music for adults, to Light Up Your Brain, which has audio stories and free coloring pages for kids…I’ve had a blast creating these resources, and appreciate the thousands who visit them each day.
